Von Trier has made a name for himself as an eclectic measured creator of films that have met controversy. Some think he makes thought-provoking pieces of art, and others believe he has style over substance. This horror follows Matt Dillon, a serial killer, over 12 years showing how his murders are his art. Apparently Uma Thurman and Dillon were the only actors to say ‘yes’ to the script, so who knows what controversies this one contains!
After the success of ‘Call Me By Your Name’, director Lucas Guadagnino is taking on the classic horror with Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson. The trailer shows an unnerving spiral into bloody chaos and this director is certainly capable of great things.
