Poem written for Alicia, part of the creep family that I sent a bookmark to last week.
There was a girl with midnight hair
Who had a sweet unassuming stare.
She really was a terrible girl indeed
For she had an insatiable feverish need:
To crawl deep into a stranger’s mind
And dreams and hopes she would find,
And slurp and chew and swallow them whole –
Leaving a drooling brooding empty soul.
